There are a ton of exciting events already, and more are bound to arrive as we get closer to the season. So, keep checking back to see if there’s a new event you haven’t checked out yet.

Dota 2: Frostivus – PC

Dota 2 features collectible festive hats to wear, collectible items to earn, and… an end of year ban wave?

There’s also an end of year sale, which lets you grab a bunch of Crownfall content for cheap.

Dauntless: Frostfall – PC / PlayStation / Xbox / Switch

Dauntless’s Frostfall Christmas event features seasonal quests, sweaters to wear, and a new crown. You can also take on an all-new seasonal boss, the Cheerless Charrogg.

If you’d like to chill and do something more relaxing, you can participate in Snowball Fight events on your own, or with friends. Hit enemies with snowballs, earn Frostfall Coins, and spend them at Honest Ozz to grab cosmetics.

The Elder Scrolls Online: New Life Festival – PC / PlayStation / Xbox

The New Life Festival made a comeback in 2024, including a bunch of new rewards you couldn’t earn in previous years.

If you’ve never experienced this event, it features double XP for its entire duration and a number of daily quests to complete.

Apex Legends: Winter’s Haunt – Xbox / PlayStation / PC / Switch

Apex Legends is introducing the Winter’s Haunt event, which signals the return of the Winter Express LTM.

You can also earn Ice Gems to unlock cosmetic rewards. It’s a very cosmetic-heavy event.

Halo Infinite: Snowball Fight – Xbox / PC

Halo Infinite gets a brand new mode: Snowball Fight. This sees you battling other players with only plasma grenades in this third-person only mode.

Elsewhere, you can check out three new maps to play on, including Snow Fire, Snowbound, and Snow Ground. We see what they did there.

Palia: The Holiday Homestead – PC / PlayStation / Xbox / Switch

Palia’s festive update is easily the cosiest of the bunch, so if that’s your priority, look no further.

You can participate in snowball fights with your friends, deck your homestead’s halls in festive decorations, and grab a bunch of Christmas cosmetics and pets from the store.

Stalcraft: X: Snowman’s Riddles – PC

Stalcraft: X’s cosy Christmas event is live right now. Not only does it feature festive decorations, but there’s a brand new quest that sees you helping Link, a snowman, solve riddles to earn rewards.

Strinova: Winter Wilderness – PC

Strinova is keeping its Christmas event relatively trim, by offering quests you can complete each day in exchange for Medals.

Spend this in the event store to grab some festive cosmetic rewards!

Supervive: Cosmic Winter Jubilee – PC

Supervive’s first ever Christmas event has arrived. It’s the Cosmic Winter Jubilee, and it’s surprisingly packed with content.

The map has festive decorations and you can use a series of themed powers, including turning everyone into a snowman. Go check it out.

Guild Wars 2: A Very Merry Winterdsay – PC

Guild Wars 2’s annual Christmas event makes a return in 2024, bringing with it a series of new cosmetic rewards to earn. These are primarily weapons.

If you’re in it for the activities, head on over to Divinity’s Reach to participate in the usual events that you know and love.

Rocket League: Frosty Fest – PC / Switch / PlayStation / Xbox

Rocket League’s annual Frosty Fest Christmas celebration is live right now, featuring 12 challenges to beat, rewards to earn, and ugly sweater decals to purchase in the Item Shop.

There are also two new LTMs to check out, which face off against each other during the first week to last the second.

OSRS: Christmas Parade – PC / Mobile

Old School RuneScape is bringing back its annual Christmas Parade this year on 2016, inviting you and the rest of the community to don your festival apparel and wander the streets of Gielinor, showing off your appearance.

There’s also a heartwarming new quest that takes place in Falador Park and sees you helping to find a home for a bunch f adorable pups.

Beat it and you can earn a selection of hilarious new cosmetic rewards, which will make a perfect fit for the Christmas Parade.

FFXIV: Starlight Celebration – PC / PlayStation / Xbox

FFXIV’s annual Christmas event Starlight Celebration makes a return for 2024 with a brand new quest, ‘Reach For the Stalls’, and a bunch of new cosmetic rewards to unlock.

Throne and Liberty: Startree Solstice – PC / PlayStation / Xbox

Startree Solstice launches on December 12, and will provide a series of cosmetics to earn. That includes outfits, weapon skins, and Amitois.

There also seems to be a snowball event, which potentially sees you taking control of your Amitoi and battling others.

RuneScape: Christmas Village – PC / Mobile

The Christmas Village has returned in RuneScape, along with a brand new quest that sees you working with Santa to craft toys for children.

There are a bunch of new activities and rewards too, including the ultra rare black party hat.

Garena Free Fire: Winterlands Aurora – Mobile

If you’re a fan of mobile gaming, look no further than Garena Free Fire’s Winterlands: Aurora event. It includes a festive theme for the Battle Royale and Clash Squad maps, complete with new gameplay features.

Mad Snowman is the highlight though. This mode combines the fun of Slither.io with Free Fire’s brand of shooting. Kill enemies to become a big snowman and dominate the arena.

There’s also a brand new character, Koda, the Snow Fox.

World of Tanks: Holiday Ops – PC / PlayStation / Xbox

In possibly the most random Christmas event ever, World of Tanks has partnered with Jason Statham to spread some festive cheer in 2024.

There’s an advent calendar full of rewards to earn, a festive village to explore, and a ton of Christmas-themed rewards in the new Holiday Ops Large Boxes.

The First Descendant: Winter Festival – PC / PlayStation / Xbox

If you just want to sit and stare at some gorgeous decorations, look no further than The First Descendant. Like the Halloween event before it, Winter Festival features an Albion decked head to toe in decorations.

In terms of gameplay, there’s a login event, weekly challenges, and an advent calendar full of rewards to earn just by playing. You can even earn extras by participating in the Twitch Drops event.
