Throne and Liberty has proven an absolute smash hit since launching on October 1, welcoming over three million players just over a week after launch. To celebrate the achievement, it’s giving away a themed Alienware gaming PC.
Sadly though, Throne and Liberty is currently down for maintenance, meaning you can’t play. Oh no!
NCSoft has announced that maintenance will last roughly five hours. It began at 5:30 AM UTC / 10:30 PM PT, so here’s when it’s due to end in a range of different time zones:
- 10:30 AM UTC
- 3:30 AM PT
- 5:30 AM ET

Why is Throne and Liberty Down For Maintenance?
Throne and Liberty is down so the developers address an issue with mobs occasionally not spawning in certain locations.
NCSoft and Amazon Games has been quick to resolve issues in the MMORPG so far, even going so far as to write an open letter to the community. This addresses the server issues and instability faced at launch, as well as the steps taken to fix it.
What Else is Going On in the World of Throne and Liberty?
Throne and Liberty is off to a great start, and NCSoft isn’t resting on its laurels. A mere day after launch, Throne and Liberty introduced a series of cosmetic ‘Celebration Packs’, which provide a terrific new outfit, as well as changes to all morphs.

The team was also keen to highlight the ‘Milestone‘ system. This rewards every player server-wide for completing a series of achievements around the launch. These are dropping on a near-daily basis around launch, and are worth pursuing.
