If you have encountered the Crazy Man at the Isle of New Beginnings and you’re scratching your head as to what he’s about, you’re not alone. He’s attached to a secret mission which only gets activated if certain conditions are met. Here’s how to complete the Crazy Man Treasure Island in Fisch.
Who is the Crazy Man in Fisch?
The Crazy Man is a character from an NPC found at the Isle of New Beginnings. Although he usually doesn’t do much, when a Tornado rolls in he becomes very important. He’s the trigger for the Treasure Island Quest, one of the more unusual side objectives in the game.
How to Begin the Treasure Island Quest in Fisch
Two things have to take place simultaneously to start the quest:
- The weather has to be a Tornado,
- And a Treasure Whale (orange colored) should be spawned.
The whale can be seen just off the southern coast of the island at GPS: -357, 96, -277. After you meet both conditions, you can talk to Crazy Man and press ‘Travel’ to start the quest.
Notes on the Tornado Weather that are Important
- There is no totem for tornado weather. That means that you cannot make it happen because it happens naturally, or can be activated using Sundial Totems.
- While Tornado is active:
- It provides all players with +20% Lure,
- No species of fish are associated with it.
- The Treasure Whale remains for a minute after the Tornado starts. You must be prepared and in close proximity or you will miss your opportunity.
Best strategy? Hang around the Isle of New Beginnings and watch the weather. When the skies begin to spin, talk to Crazy Man promptly.
Once you click on ‘Travel’, Crazy Man will join you as you enter the Treasure Whale.
You will have to stay inside the Whale’s interior for 90 seconds.
After that, you will be teleported to Treasure Island and the quest will be marked complete.
Bonus Tips
- Patience is key. Tornado weather is not common, so this quest is usually a matter of timing and a little luck.
- Make sure you have a mount or fast mobility tool available. If you’re not on the southern coast when the whale presents itself, it’s easy to miss it.
- If you’re out for achievements or rare content, this is one of those hidden quests that’s worth ticking off.
